Contaminated Soils, Volume 3, presents 41 technical papers presented at the 12th Annual Conference on Contaminated Soils that was held at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, on October 20-23, 1997. This volume, which is divided into nine parts, provides unique solutions and technical information on a wide spectrum of environmental issues. Discussed in this volume are Site Assessment (Part I), Analysis (Part II), and Risk Assessment (Part III). A number of the various technologies for remediating contaminated sites are discussed in Part IV (Remediation). Part V (Innovative Technologies) introduces some of the more innovative technologies that can be applied for site remediation. Part VI (RBCA) gives case studies of RBCA application. Remediation at federal and military sites is discussed in Part VII (Federal and Military Considerations). Site assessments and innovative technologies focusing on heavy metal contamination at sites are discussed in Part VIII (Heavy Metals). In Part IX (Brownfields), important factors affecting the redevelopment or reuse of brownfield sites are discussed.
